The Most Beautiful Thing About Jesus Is...
The most encouraging thing I know about Jesus is that He will never stop loving me and never stop drawing me closer and closer to Him. While as people, many of us have tended to turn away from Him....to push Him away when we have troubles in life, He never stops encouraging us. His steadfastness is unending.
You can’t out love Him. Can I tell you that is beautiful. I can’t put into words what that means to me. Think about it. The most love you’ve ever felt is infinitely less than the love He has for you and for me. Just think about that! What a wonderful love.
I remember thinking “what is the purpose of all this?” I mean, as a Christian. Maybe you think it’s odd that I was thinking that as a Christian but I thought, if I’m saved what’s next? Isn’t this supposed to be different. There was more. Being fine with just getting by and just being ok was not enough. Falling again and again was just not enough. I asked the Lord and He drew me to scripture. As I read, I was amazed. The purpose of “all this” is to glorify God! It may sound simple but God gave us each a choice. He created us to love us and He gave you and I a choice to love Him. Someone asked me “why didn’t God just create us all to be perfect?” “Why did He create some people who do bad things and we are not perfect?” I don’t know the answers to these questions in life but as I read the word of God, I see that we all have a choice. That is scriptural. If we choose to give Jesus our life, He will come live inside of us and give us peace, joy, protect us and He will take over all of our burdens. We can choose to give all of our trouble to Him. That choice to love Him is what love really is about. Think about it.....how wonderful would it be if you forced someone to love you? That wouldn’t be love. That would be obligation, but love...real love is a beautiful and wonderful choice and when we love the Lord our God - oh how that must make Him feel!!! I love Him and I don’t want to hurt Him. I love Him, so I want to spend time with Him. I am learning more every day, as I read the word of God just how much He really loves me and how much He loves you too. Be encouraged today, that there is a purpose: to glorify God and that happens when we love Him, we glorify Him and then others see the glory of God in our life and they want to make that same choice too. Telling others about that, my dear sister...my dear brother is proclaiming the good news of the gospel!
